The unique VARUS is completely fitted with the Hitline refrigeration equipment having self-contained units using environmentally friendly and energy efficient refrigerant R290.
The new opened store VARUS is the first in Ukraine where food products in the shopping room are presented in refrigerated furniture using only a natural refrigerant – Propane R290 that meets the European safety standards EN 378 and IEC 60335-2-89. This is an important stage in the history of Hitline, and at the same time it is an excellent opportunity to use environmentally friendly technology. Within the framework of this project the equipment was selected taking with an allowance for the features of each group of products.
Frozen products are presented in a low-temperature cabinets “Kansas HLT VA” (R290) and in a low-temperature static island cabinet “Alaska A S 100” (R290) having a wraparound view of placed products due to the sides transparencies. For preserves there is a special version of a low-temperature wall cabinet “Indiana medium A LT” (R290) with a temperature regime of -8 …- 4 °C installed here in the shopping room. Dairy products, sausages, drinks are shown in wall display cabinets “Indiana VA D” (R290) that are blocked in lines. In order to achieve a high level of energy efficiency, the refrigeration equipment in the store is equipped with energy-saving doors and covers.
The new VARUS facility is an important store project that will allow us to evaluate and continue improving the technology of usage of R290 in refrigeration equipment.
